- Acted for a renowned Singapore food & beverage company in conjunction with Indonesian arbitration counsel, including perusing of arbitration documents, evidence and formulating strategic tactical approach for the arbitration proceedings.
- Acted for a shareholder of a Singapore company in a highly contentious shareholders’ dispute matter arising from a breach of agreement, which involved the client’s exclusion from the company’s management and irregularities surrounding the Annual General Meeting.
- Acted for various shareholders of an Indonesia conglomerate in their low 9 digit USD claim against the other shareholder-directors in a cross-border claim for breach of directors’ fiduciary duties, spanning multiple jurisdictions (Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia and the British Virgin Islands).
- Acted as coordinating counsel and Singapore solicitors to a litigation funder in its funding, and directing the litigation strategy, of a claim for breach of director’s duties in a hotly contested High Court action in Hong Kong, with major client reporting and project management responsibilities. Our work and the High Court action in Hong Kong was just one of several suits in Hong Kong and Singapore which spanned in aggregate over 10 years, which were ultimately concluded with settlements on favourable terms.
- Acted for the respondent, as counsel and alongside senior counsel, in an SGD 15 million claim before the SIAC for breach of warranties in a USD 100 million acquisition of a group of companies in Asia by a private equity fund.
- Acted for a Hong Kong Food & Beverage group in an embezzlement claim against a shareholder in its Singapore subsidiary, including substantial rectification undertakings in the restructuring of the Singapore subsidiary.
- Advised and acted for an international foodservice organization on its intellectual property rights and in the enforcement thereof in Indonesia.
- Acted for a client in an acrimonious shareholders’ dispute involving the hostile removal of the president director.
- Acted for the Indonesian subsidiary of a multi-national company and advised on Indonesian manpower laws and regulations in the dismissal of a senior employee for misconduct.
- Represented an Indonesian company in the Industrial Relations Court of Indonesia for the dismissal of disgruntled employees.
- Advising a major Singapore company on the removal of its directors on grounds of misappropriation of funds.
- Advising a Singapore subsidiary of an Indonesian listed company in relation to its removal of directors and claim against a service provider.
- Advising an international airline in relation to its low 8-digit USD dispute with its service provider.
- Represented a leading Chinese banking software and technology services company in its debt collection claim against Vanuatu bank.
- Represented a Singapore telecommunications company in its debt collection claim against a US company.
- Represented a Singapore telecommunications company in its debt collection claim against a Chinese company.
- Advised a Singapore company on its legal rights and obligations under Singapore law in a contractual dispute with a software company.
